Almenland Trek
The Teichalm-Sommeralm is Europe's largest continuously farmed mountain pasture. The trek leads across the high plateau with its open mountain pastures, cattle, many friendly mountain hut bars and good inns. Amazing views, such as those at the highest point of the hike, the Hochlantsch, await. The entire Almenland Trek has a total vertical climb of 350 metres. That is not a lot, but the appeal of this hike comes from other things, such as the regional culinary specialities in the mountain hut bars and inns.
