Günstner Waterfall
Between Schöder and Krakaudorf the Günstner Waterfall plunges over the prehistoric boulders of the Schladminger Tauern into the Künstenbach. At 65 metres, it is Styria's highest waterfall. 250 to 200 litres roar over the three cascades every second.
The waterfall has been accessible by a walkway and steps since 1906. Ferns, Goatsbeard, etc. are evidence of the constantly damp air. Both sides of the waterfall are connected to dark, mythical spruce forests, in whose undergrowth bilberries are waiting to be snacked upon.
