Hall-Admont

This town lies 640 - 780 metres above sea level, at the foot of the Hallermauern in a particularly beautiful position in the valley.  At the same time, it is also the gateway to the Gesäuse, Austria's newest national park. There are 4 perfectly prepared and maintained cross-country skiing trails here. They have a total length of 33.5 kilometres and they are divided up nicely so that there is the right option for every level of expertise. As in most resorts, there is, of course, a ski school and 10 kilometres of pistes for skating-style skiing.

Not everyone wants to ski the whole time. Not to worry - nobody gets bored in Hall-Admont: Admont Benedictine Abbey, which is home to the world's largest abbey library, is not far away. There is also an indoor swimming pool with a sauna. The Kaiserau ski resort is also near and has a floodlit toboggan run. Walkers will find 5 kilometres of winter hiking trails here. And what could be more romantic than a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the winter countryside?  Or why not enjoy yourself on the ice rink or the Austrian curling lanes at the leisure park?
