Katerloch Stalactite Cave

The Katerloch, near the better-known Grasslhöhle, above the Raabklamm (Raab Gorge) northwest of Weiz, has the greatest wealth of dripstone of any commercial cave in Austria. Accordingly intense experiences are guaranteed. In a two-hour tour you will gain an insight into this strange world - a world of bizarre dripstone. Fritz Geissler leads you through three levels into the "Magic Realm", "Lake Paradise" and the "Fantasy Hall" - you are guaranteed to marvel at them.

And the name? "Kater" is the German word for a male owl - with a little luck the Tawny owl will be home and let you have a look.
