Lippizan tour
A journey to the world-famous horses. Piber, the home of the world-famous Lipizzan horses is a possible starting point for this circuit through the Lipizzanerheimat in the southwest of Styria. Watch the Lipizzan horses on the pastures, marvel at Friedensreich Hundertwasser's St. Barbara church, cycle through the most beautiful towns in the Lipizzanerheimat or make a short detour to the cool waters of Piberstein leisure island. The Lippizan Tour has something for everyone.
If you are lucky you can see the magnificent horses on the pastures at Piber Federal Stud. Alternatively, you can always take a tour of the stud. The route leads you to Kainach and Afling you must decide whether to continue along the River Kainach and the unbelievably charming, but also strength-sapping, Königsetappe stage up almost 900 metres to the "Heiliges Wasser" (Holy Water). The Nova thermal spa, which lies directly on the tour, caters for plenty of relaxation and recuperation, if necessary.
