Koralm Crystal Trail
The peak trail with a mountain of over 2000 metres and many notable features leads you along the border between Styria and Carinthia. The trail runs mainly over mountain pastures with beautiful views. Along the way lie ancient trading routes and cow-filled meadows; festivals are de riguer in August and the young Lipizzan stallions spend their youth on the Höhenrücken near the Altes Almhaus. The contrast between the raw high mountain pastures and the lovely wine-growing region of Schilcher is particularly beautiful. From Soboth, your destination, you can then hike further into the Koroska and the Pohorje mountain range as far as Slovenia.
