Wine Route for the Senses
This hiking trail leads up and down through the countryside of the southeastern Styrian hills. Here in the volcanic soil, everything grows brilliantly: grape vines, elder, apple trees, pumpkins ... The trail begins at the St. Anna wine merchant's in Aigen and first leads in the direction of Riede Scheming. In the valley of Pleschbachtal you are surrounded by beech forest. All along the hike there are well-signed stations, which have content that can be seen, heard and even smelt. And, of course, how could it be any different in the southeast of Styria than to have a large number of wine taverns awaiting you. On a good day, you can enjoy excellent views. You can see as far as Slovenia.
